About Me

Smile Apolonia Garcia is a proud Native Angeleno with over 20 years of experience in the movement and healing arts. Her journey began with an innate rhythm and a deep connection to expressive storytelling through the body—evolving into a lifelong mission to help others move, feel, and heal through dance, mindfulness, and embodied empowerment.

A graduate of California State University, Northridge, Smile holds a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology, bridging the worlds of science and spirit. Her work weaves together anatomy, energy, and intention, creating practices that honor both the physical and the soul. She is also a certified yoga teacher through Breath for Change, a program rooted in mindfulness, social-emotional learning, and community leadership.

In addition to her global movement work, Smile has spent the past three years serving in the Child Development field, working closely with keiki and early learners. Through creative play, embodied learning, mindfulness, and expressive arts, she helps children build confidence, emotional regulation, and a joyful connection to their growing minds and bodies.

As an International World Dance Educator, Smile’s artistry spans Salsa, Bachata, Hip Hop, Cumbia, Punta, Reggaeton, Ballet, Modern, Contemporary, Jazz, West African, and more. She has shared her gifts around the world—from local schools and wellness centers to international festivals, retreats, and community circles—holding space where culture, unity, and joy can flourish.

With radiant energy and an intuitive, heart-centered approach, Smile empowers others to reconnect with themselves, celebrate their roots, and move with purpose. Whether leading a grounding yoga flow, choreographing for the stage, nurturing keiki, facilitating workshops, or guiding transformative retreats, she embodies the truth that movement is medicine—and through it, we can all rise, glow, and grow together.
